"I’ve had occasion to work with some of the best physical conditioning specialists in the golf industry today with my players who want the edge to stay ahead, and I can say without reservation that Paul Chek, his work and contribution in this field in golf, is right on the cutting edge.
I consider myself fortunate to be associated with him; I am a client as well, with my own personalized program that Paul has designed for me. I have made significant improvement and progress in my own game as a professional player.
My strength and flexibility have improved dramatically and I feel better physically than I have in years. I’m looking forward to achieving more of my goals as a player personally."
Bob Cisco, PGA Tour Instructor, Author The Ultimate Game of Golf
"Since doing the CHEK Golf Biomechanic course in September 2004, I have significantly expanded my business. Approximately 40%of my business now comes from golfers wishing to improve their games and/or prevent injury. I am currently working with a number of Canterbury ’s leading amateurs and am establishing strong relationships with several clubs and golf professionals.
The Golf Biomechanics course significantly improved my ability to relate a biomechanical assessment, the stretches and exercises specifically to golf. Just performing an assessment on a golfer makes this programme very easy to sell.
This course has been a very worthwhile investment. I highly recommend it."
Robert Collier, C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1, CHEK Golf Biomechanic
"I have recently attended the C.H.E.K Institute Golf Biomechanic Certification Course in Auckland, NZ. I found the information presented in the course groundbreaking in that I believe it will significantly change golf instruction and performance in the future.
I have played and taught at a high level of competitive golf for the past ten years, during the past four years I have been searching for answers in the golf swing to which no one seemed to have.
This is, at least, until I met Paul Chek and Janet Alexander, they not only presented the answers to my many questions, but more importantly, they were able to provide support to their answers with 'why' it was so.
To be a little more technical, I have had a problem with my own swing for the past 4 years, where my hip plane in the downswing has been incorrect, after one year of hitting balls to correct this fault (which also gave me lower back pain) it was not improving. This led me down the road of golf swing biomechanics and to some of the best biomechanic experts in New Zealand. Which were very good, but did not solve my problem. It was not until I attended the C.H.E.K Institute Course that I found the answer.
The breakthrough occurred while practicing golf swing analysis on the course. I was pretending to be the golf student and I had two fellow students on the course analysing my swing. Now, these two people between them they had played golf once, ever! They were not golfers, just trainee CHEK Golf Biomechanics. Between them they spotted every swing fault I had worked on in the past two years, more amazingly they found my faulty hip movement, which had taken many top teaching pros years to isolate.
Later in the muscle assessment phase of the course, these same people isolated my hip dysfunction to a Sacroiliac joint dysfunction, which meant that my hips physically could not do what I had been asking of them. This analysis was then taken further, and my Sacroiliac joint dysfunction was traced to tight hamstrings, which were pulling my pelvis out of position and locking up my Sacroiliac joint.
Since, implementing my corrective stretching program I am getting increasing Sacroiliac joint function, which I am looking forward to bringing into my golf game.
The course had such a dramatic affect on me that now I feel obliged to share the information to help others. Saving them the years of frustration, which can occur when you look at the wrong end of the problem.
I believe any golfer cannot be as good as they can be without either doing this course or seeing a CHEK Golf Biomechanic.
Thanks C.H.E.K institute, Paul Chek, Janet Alexander, the C.H.E.K team and Highest Quality Health for presenting this information to me."
