| This patented tool was invented and developed by Paul Chek to accurately measure first rib inclination, pelvic tilt and general goniometry. First rib angle is important when diagnosing or preparing programs for such conditions as forward head posture, thoracic outlet syndrome, scalenus syndrome, tension headache, interscapular pain syndromes, shoulder pain syndromes and cervical syndromes. In addition it can be used for anthropometric measurements. Ideal for quantitative assessment, used extensively in the biomechanical assessment techniques taught in the C.H.E.K. Corrective Exercise Program. |
